Light/Color Walk
What can leaders learn from observing sunlight and color? Join us on a walk in the park to explore the nature of light and color—a contemplative approach to expanding our leadership capacities through better understanding nature.
Inspired by artist Bob Miller's "Light Walk" at the San Francisco Exploratorium, this event invites participants to make discoveries about sunlight and color that will enrich their day-to-day lives and work experience. Light is currently explained through concepts like waves and particles, yet these ideas can obscure its relevance to our daily life. By carefully observing light under different conditions, we can begin to see light ... in a new light, unlocking understandings that can inspire us to be better leaders.
In this workshop, you'll learn practical methods to:
- Describe phenomena without the use of explanations or theories
- Deepen your relationship to the natural world
- Enhance your observational skills for all areas of life
Studying light with others is a great way for leaders from any sector—business, government, or non-profit—to increase their understanding and appreciation of the natural world, and strengthen their capacity to bring about a more flourishing future for all.
